9 Clips And More From 'Suicide Squad' Makes Us Wonder How Much Movie There Will Be Left To Watch

In case it hasn’t been made explicitly clear already, Warner Bros. really, really wants you to like them, and in particular, “Suicide Squad.” They need the movie to be everything “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” wasn’t: across-the-board approved by both critics and fanboys, an undeniable financial success (though with the money thrown at extensive reshoots and marketing, one has to wonder how much the budget has skyrocketed), and proof that they know what they’re doing with DC Comics properties. But man, what will there be left to watch when the movie comes out?

Warner Bros. has been relentless in dropping trailers — including yet another one this weekend at San Diego Comic Con — and have revealed so much footage at this point that either a) “Suicide Squad” has a lot of surprises left its up sleeve, or b) everyone will have seen the good stuff before the movie opens. But maybe WB doesn’t even care about that. They just want butts in the seats, and perhaps they are doing everything possible under the sun to reach as many moviegoers as possible. This might just be the reality of the contemporary tentpole world we live in where you pretty much live or die on your opening weekend.
