A24 & The Russo Brothers Team With 'Swiss Army Man' Filmmakers On New Sci-Fi Comedy Film

The filmmaking duo known as Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) has been quiet since the 2016 debut of their film “Swiss Army Man.” That film, simply dubbed the “farting corpse movie” by film fans, exploded on the film festival circuit and introduced the world to Daniels’ distinct style and flavor. However, since then, the duo hasn’t collaborated on a film and the world anxiously awaits whatever they have in store. Thankfully, the Russo Brothers are here to help, with the upcoming film “Everything Everywhere All At Once.”

According to Deadline, the Russo Brothers’ AGBO has teamed with A24 to distribute and finance the upcoming film “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” directed by the aforementioned Daniels. Not much is known about the plot of the film (and honestly, judging by “Swiss Army Man,” any attempt to guess the plot is likely a futile gesture), but ‘Everything’ is described as a sci-fi comedy that is going to star Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu, James Hong, Jonathan Ke Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

While the directing duo hasn’t collaborated on a feature film since “Swiss Army Man,” they haven’t been completely dormant. Daniel Kwan stepped behind the camera last year to write and direct an episode of the acclaimed FX series “Legion.” And also last year, Daniel Scheinert directed an episode of Showtime’s “On Becoming a God in Central Florida,” as well as the A24 feature film “The Death of Dick Long.”
