Crime in Stereo-I Was Trying to Describe You to Somebody
Bridge 9

I have very mixed feelings about this album depending on when I'm listening to it. I'm enjoying it this time around, but there have been times when I absolutely loathed it and found it to be incredibly boring. This is not an album to get me through work, as it doesn't seem to help make the time go by any faster. I'm not sure why this is so, but it is.

I Was Trying to Describe You to Somebody reminds me of a mixture between Brand New and Nirvana. There are spacey moments, moments of grunge energy, melodic moments and times that sound like the newer stylings of Brand New. There are some really catchy parts and each song has at least some energy, although there are some parts that drag.

This is an album full of talent. There are usually interesting or experimental parts going on, and they work for the most part. Its hard not to think of Crime in Stereo as a Brand New Jr, but I like this album a hell of a lot more than the crap Brand New has been putting out lately. While I may not like it all the time, I applaud the effort Crime in Stereo put forth.
