Dillinger Four-C I V I L W A R
Fat
October 14, 2008

Dillinger Four have always reminded me of The Lawrence Arms. There are slight differences between both bands, but they both have that snotty in your face fast to mid paced punk sound. This makes for heaven if you're a fan of either band.

C I V I L W A R is a fun album to listen to. Its an album that doesn't need a whole load of thought, one that I can just listen to for 40 minutes while doing any sort of (mindless) activity, enjoying myself in the process. There are many parts to sing along to, and lyrics that you want to learn from vocals that are clear enough to understand (for those too lazy to read the liner notes).

Dillinger Four already has a relatively large and dedicated fanbase, and this album won't disappoint them at all (especially since fans have been salivating for six years for a new album). News fans willing to try out a melodic punk band with a good pop could do much worse than checking out C I V I L W A R, hopping on the bandwagon in the process.
