Somewhere, Billy Bragg is smiling. He has a fine disciple in Frank Turner, an artist who belts out singer/songwriter style music that is light hearted, instead of the tear jerkers that come from this side of the Atlantic (nothing wrong with that, but its nice to hear some upbeat stuff once in awhile). I bought this on iTunes, and it came with a video for "The Road," my favorite track on the album. The video shows Turner singing with a smile on his face and having a damn good time making music for people (I could see him playing a living room show or two) simply because its fun for him. The fact that its fun for the listeners is pure bonus.
