This is a good album, but one that I can't see myself listening to much more in the future. I enjoy the songs in the present tense, but there isn't anything about it that will spark my interest to continue to put it back in my stereo. Nothing about this album really stands out, though its enjoyable as a whole.
I'm reminded a lot of Hot Hot Heat when listening to this. The songs have a melodic rock pop dance theme, very bouncy and full of movement. There is a nice flow and tempo to each song, as everything drives along at a nice pace. Alex Greenwald has a pretty cool sounding faux British voice, full of energy and excitement; the highlight of the album.
I can't quite put my finger on why I don't see myself listening to this album. There are a lot of good songs that are catchy, full of hooks and growing on me more with each listen, but there's something holding me back. I'm not sure if its their past work reputation or what. Personal opinions can be confusing sometimes.
