I'm probably the last person that should be reviewing this album, as this is my first taste of Prong. But, since I'm pretty much the only person who writes for the site, I'm gonna give it a shot. I don't know why I never listened to them in the past, but I always remember hearing their name and liking the ring that their name had. After hearing this album, I will be picking up some of their material.
After reading the above paragraph, one would think that I'm begging you to go out and pick up Power of the Damn Mixxxer, but just the opposite is true. This is a remix album of 2007's Power of the Damager, complete with metalheads such as Rob Caggiano of Anthrax and Clayton Worbeck of the Revolting Cocks adding their two cents. This means little to nothing to me since I've yet to hear the original versions and have never been a fan of remixes.
These versions are okay. I don't recommend going out and picking this album up unless you're already a Prong fan. This won't serve as a good introduction to the band, even though it did manage to pique my interest in hearing some other Prong material.
