The Tossers-On a Fine Spring Evening
Victory
October 28, 2008

This is an album that I can listen to over and over without getting sick of it. As I type this, I've listened to it four times consecutively, loving the alcohol fueled Irish flavored punk spitting out of the speakers. The Tossers are not a poor man's Flogging Molly or The Pogues, instead writing songs that go toe to toe with the aforementioned bands, sounding strong as ever four full lengths in.

While there are some songs that stick out, this is an album that I enjoy listening to much more as a whole. As much as I love "Whiskey Makes Me Crazy" (one of the best songs of the year), I can't put this album on and skip right to that song, as I know that I'm missing four other great songs. The two instrumentals slow things down slightly, but I don't feel the need to skip over them.

The Tossers don't do anything new with On a Fine Spring Evening. They're not one of those bands that are going to mess with a new formula. What they did do was write their best album to date, a must have for any fan of the band or Irish flavored music in general.
