After an EP and two full lengths, Verse are back with their first album I can truly say that I enjoy. I always felt that singer Sean Murphy was holding back on his vocals, which held them back a little bit, but he has laid everything on the line for Rebuild, a great emotional hardcore album from start to finish.
Verse are doing something different. There aren't many fast drum beats and a lot of the music sounds like it could be a breakdown or a bridge, similar to what Modern Life is War made famous, but they're different. Every riff they play has the power to sound like it could be the ending of a song, holding nothing back and sending the listener into a whirlwind of emotions. There are many fist pumping and sing along moments, and they pound the living daylights out of their instruments.
With the band working full speed on all cylinders, there's not much holding Verse back from becoming one of the top hardcore bands going right now. This is an amazing album musically, lyrically and vocally.
