I had a good amount of fun spending 45 seconds coming up with predictions for baseball standings the past two years, I figured I'd make a half ass attempt with football. Football season is such a great season, and it usually takes a few weeks to get over the sadness after the Super Bowl. Each week is so fun and exciting to watch, unpredictable and full of enough surprises to make each week incredibly interesting. The way football goes, pretty much any team has a decent chance at surprising everybody and winning the title. No one expected the Patriots to win the Super Bowl in 2001, and I doubt many people expected the Saints to have such a magical season last year (quite possibly the feel good story of the year, even though they didn't make the Super Bowl).
I was thinking of doing some extra research for these predictions, but then I thought better of it, feeling that it wouldn't be that fair to my baseball predictions.
