Benedict Cumberbatch & Chris Hemsworth Create The 'Doctor Strange' End Credits Tag In New Featurette

The end credits tag has become a tradition in the Marvel movies, one that serves as key piece of connective tissue for their cinematic universe. It also allows the comic studio to bring together heroes that might not officially fight together on the big screen until much further down the line. But as you’ll learn in this featurette for “Doctor Strange,” the end credits tag is one of the last things anybody is thinking about when a Marvel movie is made.

In the brief, behind-the-scenes look, it’s revealed that bringing Thor into “Doctor Strange” coalesced as the script for “Thor: Ragnarok” was coming together. So they decided that having Doctor Strange meet Thor would be a good way to see how the character would interact with the other Avengers. And with Benedict Cumberbatch and Chris Hemsworth bringing their comedic chops to the scene, it wound up a winning moment.
