Brie Larson is signed up to lead “Victoria Woodhull.” Penned by Ben Kopit, the film will tell the incredible true story of the titular suffragist, who became the first woman in American history to run and be nominated for the President Of The United States — all the way back in 1872, four decades before women would finally be given the right to vote. Her story is even more remarkable given she earned her fortune as a magnetic healer and spiritualist, and was also the first female stockbroker and a newspaper editor.

There’s no director attached, but this is the kind of project that’s sure to draw some interest from big names. And naturally, no word yet on when cameras will roll, but it’s a movie to keep an eye on.
