Carrie Fisher Needs To Contact The Galactic Senate In Deleted Scene From 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

The life, wit, and inspiration of Carrie Fisher (and her late mother Debbie Reynolds) continues to be celebrated, and her fiery spark can be found in even the smallest of moments.

A deleted scene from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is now circulating, and even though it runs a mere sixteen seconds, the lovable flintiness Fisher brought to the role of Leia is clearly on display. The brief clip shows General Organa trying to get a message to the Galactic Senate, and quipping, “Not all the senators think I’m insane. Or maybe they do. I don’t really care.” And that’s a pretty good summary of how Fisher as Leia approached her adventures in a galaxy far, far away — with fire and independence.

Fisher’s last turn as Leia will be in “Star Wars: Episode VIII” opening on December 15, 2017.
