Contest: Win 'Sing Street' Prize Pack Including Blu-ray & Shure Sound Isolating Earphones

In a summer filled with big blockbusters, lots of CGI, and high stakes superhero plots, you might be craving something lighter on its feet, and a whole lot more heartwarming. “Sing Street” will definitely fit the bill, and today we have some terrific prizes to share with some lucky readers.

Directed by John Carney, the feel-good, coming of age story is set in 1980s Dublin and follows 14-year-old Conor (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) who is looking for a break from a home strained by his parents’ relationship and money troubles, while trying to adjust to his new inner-city public school where the kids are rough and the teachers are rougher. He finds a glimmer of hope in the mysterious, über-cool and beautiful Raphina (Lucy Boynton), and with the aim of winning her heart he invites her to star in his band’s music videos. There’s only one problem: he’s not part of a band… yet. She agrees, and now Conor must deliver on what he’s promised.

It’s sweet stuff and today we have a grand prize featuring a Blu-ray of the film, along with a pair of Shure Sound Isolating earphones. We’ve also got some runner-up prizes of “Sing Street” on DVD.

To win, follow us on Facebook and Twitter, tweet: “I want to win Sing Street from @ThePlaylist. #WinThePlaylistContest,” and include this link. Your final step: just email us your tweet, with your full name and address, and tells us your favorite song of the summer. Good luck!
