'Crashing' Season 2 Trailer: Pete Holmes Expands His Mind

I have to be honest, I sort of forgot that “Crashing” was a show on HBO. The very pleasant and unassuming comedy has made it to a second season, though I’m not sure who actually watches it. Nonetheless, those who do will see lead Pete Holmes expanding his mind this time around.

Produced by Judd Apatow, and based on Holmes’ actual life, the semi-autobiographical series follows a young man and Christian who takes a stab at stand-up comedy after his wife cheats on him and he becomes homeless. And this season, which will run eight episodes, an atheist points Pete towards a new adventure. Here’s the synopsis:

Feeling lost in the universe, Pete (Holmes) has an enlightening conversation with an atheist, which sends him into a night of New York debauchery. This marks the beginning of a new season in which Pete starts to question his faith and find his voice.

“Crashing” returns on Sunday, January 14th.
