The Cure Is Coming In New Trailer For 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' Starring Milla Jovovich

Sony really wants their “Resident Evil” franchise to go out with a bang (well, at least until the inevitable reboot). It was only a couple of weeks ago that we got a new trailer for “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” at New York Comic-Con, but that hasn’t stopped a fresh international promo from landing, featuring more action and viruses and stuff.

Milla Jovovich has again returned, and this time around, she’s headed back to Raccoon City to get the anti-virus once and for all to presumably save the world. I haven’t watched any of these movies since the first installment, but it seems like you could probably buy a ticket to this one and not miss a beat. Here’s the official synopsis:

Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, Alice (Milla Jovovich) is the only survivor of what was meant to be humanity’s final stand against the undead. Now, she must return to where the nightmare began – The Hive in Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse.

Also starring Ali Larter, Shawn Roberts, Ruby Rose, Eoin Macken, Rola, Lee Joon-Gi, William Levy, and Iain Glen, and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter” opens on January 27, 2017.
