Daniel Radcliffe & Zachary Quinto Declare ‘We Do Not Forget’

Daniel Radcliffe has been doing it all lately, and in the past year so he’s played a farting corpse (“Swiss Army Man“), Frankenstein’s sidekick (“Victor Frankenstein“), a tech tycoon (“Now You See Me 2“), and an FBI agent undercover with white supremacists (“Imperium“). Of course, he’s kindly keeping the door opening to playing Harry Potter again, but until that happens (or not), he’s continuing to stretch his wings.

So, his next gig will be teaming up with Zachary Quinto to star in “We Do Not Forget.” While it might sound like the name of a military or 9/11 movie, it’s actually an inspired-by-a-true-story tale about the digital war waged between Anonymous and Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas. Penned by Zach Helm (“Stranger Than Fiction,” the new “Jumanji” movie), the drama will detail how Anonymous threatened to expose the identities of Los Zetas members after one of its own was kidnapped by the gang. Certainly sounds potentially captivating.

The money behind “Spotlight” is financing this one, and cameras are expected this year with Helm directing, and Antoine Fuqua among the producers. The rights will be up for grabs at TIFF, and it already seems like a hot ticket. [Deadline]
