It Looks Like Doctor Strange Is Joining The Fight In 'Thor: Ragnarok'

For the five people who haven’t seen “Doctor Strange” yet, I guess this is a *spoiler*, but the traditional Marvel post-credits saw a brief moment between the titular magical hero and Chris Hemsworth‘s Thor, with the latter dropping by to ask for help in finding Loki. Well, it looks like that little narrative nugget is going to continue in “Thor: Ragnarok.”

In Disney’s official fanclub newsletter from D23, there’s a preview of what’s coming from the studio in 2017, and the one sentence blurb about ‘Ragnarok’ has the fanboys chattering:

If you need even more intergalactic, world-saving action, Thor: Ragnarok in November brings together Thor, the Hulk, and Doctor Strange to face off against intergalactic baddies both familiar and new.

It remains to be seen just how big or small Cumberbatch’s role will be as thus far, ‘Ragnarok’ has been described as a buddy movie. But perhaps this at least means Doctor Strange’s participation is more than just a walk on part. At any rate, it’s enough to warrant speculation from nerdier corners of the interwebs.
