Well, we’ve got good news. “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” is back just in time to give you an hourly diversion once a week. The World of Wonder production is moving to VH1 where it will debut at 8 PM on Thursday, Jan. 25.

In a press release, the two-time Emmy winning host RuPaul said, “The rumors are 100% true, baby. The ‘All Stars’ three debut delivers my most legendary queens, and they’re fired up and ready to take over the mother-tucking world. #RealNews #FakeEyelashes.”

The winner of “All Stars” receives $100,000 and a spot in the digitally created “Drag Race Hall of Fame” (not a joke). Alaska Thunderfuck won the second season of “All Stars” last October in a season that many fans consider the best in the almost 10-year history of the franchise.

This season’s cast members include Brooklyn’s Aja (season nine, drama and death drops), Seattle’s BenDeLaCreme (season six, former Miss Congeniality winner and the best Maggie Smith impersonation you’ve ever seen), Shreveport’s Chi Chi DeVayne (season eight, fierce performer), Dallas’ Kennedy Davenport (season seven, the dancing diva of Texas), New York’s Milk (season six, models for Madonna and show superfan Marc Jacobs), Los Angeles’ Morgan McMichaels (season two, don’t give no…), Los Angeles’ Shangela (seasons two & three, Jennifer Lewis disciple), Brooklyn’s Thorgy Thor (season eight, can do it all if she doesn’t over think it), and Los Angeles’ Trixie Mattel (season seven, one half of the “The Trixie & Katya Show” currently airing on Viceland).

“Drag Race” was nominated for an astounding seven Emmy nominations in August and took home three including RuPaul Charles as Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program, Outstanding Costumes for a Variety, Nonfiction, or Reality Program and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Structured or Competition Reality Program. Despite those wins ‘Drag Race’ still lost the Reality Competition Emmy to “The Voice.” How VH1 and World of Wonder plan on going to go all the way in 2018 remains to be seen.  Lady Gaga sparked a massive amount of attention when she guest-judged on season nine. Rumors are flying about what legendary pop queen will appear in ‘All Stars’ and “Drag Race Season 10” which is expected this Spring.

VH1 is strongly behind “Drag Race” with alumni such as Alaska starring on “Scared Famous” and Valentina, Katya and Manila Luzon on the next season of “America’s Top Model” with returning host Tyra Banks. It was also recently announced RuPaul will guest judge on Lifetime’s “Project Runway All Stars” next year.
