I was stoked about this trilogy right after the initial set up: Cartman leads a team of fourth graders into the woods to trap a leprachan that he saw to prove Kyle's naysaying wrong. Eventually, the leprachan appears and Kyle loses the bet and has to live up to his signed agreement of sucking Cartman's balls. I knew that this would be one of the best stories South Park has come up with yet, and I was pretty much right.
I won't go into too much more detail about the episode (even though people may already seen it on tv) except to say that terrorists plotting to blow up our imaginations was an incredible idea, and they did such an awesome job with the created characters that live in Imagination Land. Its great seeing all the characters that dominated my childhood and beyond, even if some of them face very brutal fates.
The DVD comes with about 40 minutes of commentary from Trey Parker and Matt Stone, which gives a decent amount of insight into the creation of this trilogy, along with the trials and tribulations that they faced. Its amazing learning that they sort of did this on the fly. There are also two episodes that feature some of the South Park created creatures that dwell in Imaginatonland as well as some storyboards. This DVD actally features more extras than the full length seasons, which is part of the reason I picked it up. I also liked having the three episodes in a row with no menu interruption.
