Ed Helms & 'The Dictator' MVP Jason Mantzoukas Join 'They Came Together'; Helms To Cameo In 'We're The Millers'

nullTwo actors: one anchoring a quickly fading hit sitcom, and another rising through the comedic ranks. Both talented, and both headed to a very promising upcoming comedy.

Ed Helms (aka Andy on "The Office") and Jason Mantzoukas, who recently slayed alongside Sacha Baron Cohen as Nadal in the ridiculously hilarious "The Dictator" have both joined David Wain's "They Came Together." The micro-budget rom-com spoof (Wain probably won't be getting real studio money anytime soon after "Wanderlust" tanked) also stars Paul Rudd, Amy Poehler and Max Greenfield ("The New Girl") and tells the tale of Molly, who runs a knick-knack shop, and comes into conflict with Joel, who works for the corporation trying to shut her store down. Actually it kind of sounds like the basic template of "Wanderlust" as well…

Mantzoukas will play Rudd's best buddy, while Helms will play the awesomely named Eggbert, an accountant and Poehler's love interest. We really like all the players involved, and Wain's comic sensibility, but "Wanderlust" was a bit saggy, so we hope for something sharper here.

But this isn't all that's on the plate for Helms, as he's also booked a cameo in "We're The Millers," which after years in development actually looks like it's going happen. Starring Jason Sudeikis, Jennifer Aniston and Nick Offerman (who recently revealed he features in the film), the movie follows a low-level pot dealer who decides to make one last big score. However, to get the supply he needs for the job, he puts together a fake family and herds them into an RV and heads to Mexico to pick up 1,400 pounds of marijuana. Helms will play Sudeikis' boss who or may not (but probably) have some other agenda.

So lot's comic talent on display here, let's hope it turns into someting worthwile for both projects. [Deadline]
