Emilia Clarke Says Her Last Scene In Upcoming Final Season Of 'Game Of Thrones' "F----- Me Up"

Yeah, yeah, yeah, Emilia Clarke is in “Solo: A Star Wars Story.” Who cares? All that matters is that she stars as Daenerys Stormborn of the House Targaryen, First of Her Name, the Unburnt, Queen of the Andals and the First Men, Khaleesi of the Great Grass Sea, Breaker of Chains, and Mother of Dragons on HBO’sGame of Thrones.” So, while the actress is out talking about that little sci-fi/fantasy movie, she did drop some little teases about what fans can expect when “Game of Thrones” hits HBO with its final season in 2019.

“I’m doing all this weird shit,” Clarke says about the upcoming final season. “You’ll know what I mean when you see it.”

According to a new interview with Vanity Fair, the actress says she has already filmed her final moments as Dany and it was, obviously, a very emotional moment for Clarke.

“It fucked me up,” she says. “Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavor in someone’s mouth of what Daenerys is . . .”

Clarke wasn’t very forthcoming with any real details about “Game of Thrones” because if she did spill the beans, the HBO assassins would probably take her out. However, there was talk about one of the oddest parts of the new season – the incestuous relationship between Dany and Jon Snow.

While most people can recognize that Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow on the show, is a handsome man, he’s also the real-life fiancée of Clarke’s best friend Rose Leslie. So, that dynamic complicated things for Dany and Jon’s upcoming love scenes. In the feature on Clarke, Vanity Fair caught up with Harrington to explain what that’s like.

“If you’ve known someone for six years, and they’re best friends with your girlfriend, and you’re best friends with them,” Harington says, “there is something unnatural and strange about doing a love scene. We’ll end up kissing and then we’re just pissing ourselves with laughter because it’s so ridiculous.”

Another thing that can be openly discussed about the final season of “Game of Thrones” is the pay. HBO has voiced their support of equal pay for actors and actresses and has said publicly that they’re going to ensure that’s how its handled on their shows. “Game of Thrones” was no different. According to Clarke, she has made sure she’s gotten equal pay, saying, “I get fucking paid the same as my guy friends. We made sure of that.”

Unfortunately, we’re still about a year away from when “Game of Thrones” is scheduled to make its triumphant return in Spring 2019.
