We’re now headed into the eighth season of “The Walking Dead,” and I’ll be honest, I have no idea what this show is about other than zombies. I’ve never seen an episode. What I do know is that some friends have bailed on the series, while others are are stoically hanging on to the show. It remains a ratings blockbuster for AMC, and it’s preparing fans for the new season with an epic five-minute trailer.
What I can tell you is that Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) are back together, and that showrunner Scott M. Gimple promises to build on the revelations and reunions from the season seven finale.
“The season finale last year, seeing all the characters together interacting as one, was thrilling. It was exciting to see all these configurations of characters we hadn’t seen before. Even Aaron merely giving Jerry an apple felt satisfying,” he told EW.
Get ready for more brains when “The Walking Dead” returns on October 22nd.
