Every 'Thor' Movie Should Be As Fun As This Mockumentary

In the ever expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe, the “Thor” movies have generally been the least beloved. While Chris Hemsworth is solid playing the Asgardian god, and gets to flex his muscle and sense of humor in “The Avengers” movies, the solo outings have often leaned dark and not very much fun. There is certainly some hope that Taika Waititi (“What We Do In The Shadows,” “The Hunt For The Wilderpeople“) will bring some much needed lightness and quirk to “Thor: Ragnarok,” and if the movie is even half as breezy as the “While You Were Fighting” mockumentary, we’ll be quite happy.

Screened at San Diego Comic Con this summer, this hilarious video shows what Thor was up to during the events of “Captain America: Civil War.” Well, the hero took some “me time,” decided to hang out with regular people and moved in with a roommate named Daryl. That’s not to say he hasn’t tried reaching out to his buddies in the Avengers, but he’s been frozen out, by Tony Stark in particular. But someone has to figure out what the heck is up with those Infinity Stones, and Thor is trying to put the pieces together on his amusing board of clues.

This is terrific stuff, so check it out, or own it on the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War” home video release. We’ve also included a recent clip about the airport fight featurette.
