Explore The World Of Doug Liman's Virtual Reality Series 'Invisible' In New 360-Degree Trailer

It could be strongly argued that when it comes to film and television, watching something with a big group of people is a practice that’s fading away. Certainly, Netflix and other streaming services now allows you to watch whatever you want on the personal device of your choice, without the need of a television or big screen if you don’t want it. And with virtual reality positioned to become the next storytelling medium, soon we’ll all have big helmets on our heads, watching a fully immersive movie or series — or at least, that’s what Oculus, Samsung, and other companies hope. And they are enlisting some big talent to try their hand at creating something in the virtual reality format.

Doug Liman of “The Bourne Identity” and “Edge Of Tomorrow” fame has given it a whirl, directing the 360-degree VR series “Invisible,” penned by Melisa Wallack (“Dallas Buyers Club“). Don’t worry, you don’t need any headgear to watch the first trailer for the supernatural show which features “The Night Of” star Sofia Black-D’elia, Olivia Boreham-Wing, Michael Siberry, Austin Caudwell and Lewis Cancelmi. Here’s the official synopsis:

Set in modern day Manhattan, INVISIBLE will unravel the secrets of a prominent New York City family, the Ashlands, blessed with a supernatural gift passed down through generations. As capacity of their extraordinary ability continues to grow in power, the birth of an exceptional new child draws public interest and their family secret teeters on the brink of becoming exposed.

“Invisible” will arrive later this fall.
