Fantastic Four

This movie wasn't as bad as it looked, which was quite surprising. The previews didn't make it look entertaining at all, and the rviews were less than kind. I sat at my seat with very low expectations, expecting to be bored out of my skull by theis dull movie, but I left having just watched a decent film.

NANA has beens try to regain their reputation by convincing Victor Von (Julian McMahon) to fund their trip into space so they can study DNA. Dr. Von Doom is a self centered prick who agress to fun the mission, thinking that his stock will go up. He adds the crew of his girlfriend Sue Storm (Jessica Alba), and her oversexed younger brother, Johnny Storm (Chris Evans) to accompany Ben Grimm (Mchael Chiklis) and Reed Richards (Ioan Gruffudd) on the mission.

Predictably so, something goes wrong that leaves all five of them with special powers, which I'm sure you're all somewhat familiar with, so I won't bore you with specifics.

They become known for their powers when The Thing, a rock like creature, escapes their quarantine soon after they discover their powers, to see his wife. She leaves, terrified, forcing him to hang out on top of a bridge, scaring a dude about to commit suicide. What ensues is a huge mess that they are able to save using their powers. This gets them popularity, which none of them want, except for Torch.

Dr. Doom loses his company when the bank pulls out, forcing him to become quite angry. This happens during the time that he discovers his powers, and decides to use them for evil. Eventually, there is a showdown between him and the Fantastic Four, which leads to the Hollywood ending wiht the final shot paving way for a sequel.

I liked howall of the characters had faults to them. They all had genuine human flaws that made their characters believable (except for the whole superpowers thing).

This isn't a bad movie, and it was quite fun seeing it on the big screen. Its not great, but you'll have a good time.
