Its pretty safe to say without spoiling the movie for anyone that there will be another X-Men movie. They took away a certain closure and made sure to keep pepole yearning for another movie. I suggest titling it: X-Men 4: The Laster Stand (which could only lead to the series closer: X-Men 5: The Absolute Lastest Stand).
Enough about the future, X-Men 3 keeps on par with the first two films, though its not as good as X-Men 2 (I'd say its about even with the first one). The plot revolves around Famke Janssen's rising from the dead as the demented Phoenix, a labl creating a "Mutant be Gone" antidote (not actual name) that upsets Magneto (Ian McKellen). Rogue's (Anna Paquin) hormones are racing and she can't touch her boyfriend, Iceman (Shawn Ashmore), without killing him, and Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is still the badass that has made him the most popular character in the series (at least he's my favorite). The action is awesome, the one liners (a.k.a. the majority of the dialogue) are pretty dumb, and the plot, while not full of twists, is interesting enough to keep me watching.
Action films aren't exactly intellectually stimulating movies, nor are they supposed to be. X-Men 3 keeps things moving, doesn't get boring, and is jam packed with cool fight scenes. This is probably the better of the recent surge of comic book based films, and its good to see that they didn't lose it after the second movie, and I'm hoping that they will continue to not lose it in future films.
