Full List Of 2016 Emmy Award Winners: 'Game Of Thrones' Wins Best Drama Series, 'The People V. OJ Simpson' Takes 9 Awards

The 68th Emmy Awards were announced Sunday night at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the ABC production came in under 3 hours thanks to unexpected wins for no-shows Maggie Smith and Ben Mendelsohn.

The official telecast followed two earlier ceremonies over the past week where the below the line honors were revealed as well as some other key awards. After all three ceremonies, “Game of Thrones” led all programs with 12 wins, for a record-breaking 38 total Emmys to date, topping the previous best of 37 set by “Frasier.” “The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” earned nine Emmys including Outstanding Limited Series as well as Lead Actress, Lead Actor and Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie. “Veep” repeated as Outstanding Comedy Series and star Julia Louis-Dreyfus won her fifth straight Emmy in the Lead Actress in a Comedy Series category.
