All 44 Songs In Edgar Wright’s ‘Baby Driver’

Anyone can slap music in a film, especially with the right budget and soundtrack supervisor. But placing music in a scene carefully and thoughtfully in an inspired moment can create the kind of cinematic magic that got us into writing about movies on this website in the first place. There’s an art to it and Edgar Wright’sBaby Driver” is extremely clever in its terrific use of music (read our review).

Most films are lucky to have one moment of music that defines them. For example, you can never really listen to “Stuck In The Middle With You” by Stealers Wheel again without thinking about “Reservoir Dogs.” The same obviously applies to the best soundtracks out there — the marriage of film and music takes the moment to the next level, solidifying it as something iconic. “Baby Driver” arguably has several of those kinds of special moments, including the use of the Jon Spencer Blue Explosion and Barry White (the latter of whom has been used in movies before, but “I’m Never Gonna Give You Up” might just have been redefined cinematically by Mr. Wright).

Here’s the songs in “Baby Driver” that aren’t featured on the soundtrack (note: some of them are just cues from other movies briefly used in quick moments) and below, as your reminder, are the songs that are on the soundtrack.
