Get Ready, 'Stranger Things' Season 2 Is Going To Bring Some "Next-Level, Crazy Stuff"

It seems you can’t turn around at the moment without the “Stranger Things” kids showing up on a talk show or at some kind of awards event. And certainly, the kids should enjoy the moment, but soon, they’ll be back in front of cameras for the nine episode second season. And there’s no doubt about it, expectations are very high. And according to producer Shawn Levy, everyone involved is very aware of that they have a high bar to clear following the ecstatically received first season.

“Yes, the pressure is on. It would be so blatantly disingenuous of me to say differently. It’s scary to have people love something this much. It becomes impossible to banish all thoughts of not wanting to disappoint. This has been the challenge of it: on the one hand as we’ve see in the movie world, to do a follow-up that feels like the same thing is disappointing to an audience; to abandon things or change things [from the original], that disappoints the audience,” he told Southern California Public Radio (via Collider).

“A lot of Season 2 is next-level, some crazy stuff, but we must service these characters who are now beloved, who are known to the audience,” Levy added.

With plenty of pieces on the web already by various sites listing what they want to see in the second season, my advice to Matt and Ross Duffer is to keep their heads down and stick to their vision. The only thing I want from “Stranger Things” season two is exactly what I got from season: a complete, unexpected, pleasant surprise.
