‘The Gifted’ Trailer: Mutants Are On The Run

Not unlike something like “Midnight Special,” FX’s new series “The Gifted,” centers on a family that discovers their children have mutant powers and go on the run. It’s yet another X-Men related series and another sign that like Warner Bros. and the CW, Marvel and Marvel Television, 20th Century Fox is eager to expand their X-Men universe into their related TV platforms like FX.

The show has launched Sentinel Services.com, a site meant to lure in families with mutants under the guise of altruism and help, claiming being a mutant isn’t illegal. But if you click on “get tested” for the X-gene, the site becomes hacked and mutant fugitive Clarice Fong/Blink (Jamie Chung), who will play a major role in the show, hacks into the page warning potential mutants to run for their lives and hide from the government.

“They seem so friendly, don’t they?” she says. “You [can’t trust] them. If the Sentinel Services discover you have the X-Gene, life as you know it is over. Stay off their radar while you still can.”

Here’s the official synopsis:
