Who would’ve thought the White House would be occupied by someone more oily than Francis Underwood? As America prepares for a Trump presidency, Netflix is using Inauguration Day to remind everyone that “House Of Cards” is returning.
Season five will be the first without longtime showrunner Beau Willimon, so it’ll be interesting to see if the tone of the show leans more toward its button pushing, pulpy tendencies or steers into more political intrigue. But with Underwood intoning gravely at the end of last season, “We make the terror,” I’m guessing the former.
No plot details yet, but “House Of Cards” is back on May 30th.
