Jack Black And Cee-Lo's "Kung Fu Fighting" Is A Lot Like The Original Minus Black's Awkard Backing Vocals

Did anyone ever really hear Jack Black and Cee-Lo’s cover of Carl Douglas’ 1974 disco classic “Kung Fu Fighting” outside of the movie theater? We certainly never did, but then again, we still have yet to see”Kung Fu Panda” (and while we hear it’s very entertaining and enjoyable, we may have missed that boat and may just wait for DVD). We never did hear much chatter about the film other than it was good, that “The School of Rock” actor and The Gnarls Barkley soulman had teamed up and its impressive box-office numbers, but then it seemed to all go quiet. But while we’re on a numbers kick here, let’s note ‘Panda’ is the third highest grossing movie of the year thus far having totaled just under $350 million so far worldwide. Also they made a video for the song that starred Ceel-Lo that no one seemed to notice. Black isn’t in the vid (aside from a few movie clips), but he does sing awkward back-ups and provides screams and yelps on the track and we kind of wish he would just stuck to the guitars or whatever the hell he was actually doing on this track.
