Following on the heels of the news that Amy Adams believes she is out as Lois Lane in the DC Universe and that she thinks Warner Bros. and DC Films are revamping Superman, “Aquaman” star Jason Momoa has weighed in on the revelations that Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck are likely out as Superman and Batman respectively. However, the actor doesn’t seem to know one way or another what their status is. That said, the actor who has appeared as Aquaman three times now and has his own solo venture about to crash into theaters soon, seems to be at peace if the actors are leaving the DCEU.

“If they’re both out, then listen: It’s just the place they’re at in their careers. I mean, how many has Henry done? He’s done three?” Momoa told The Huffington Post this week. “Yeah, I mean, like, you want to move on. I think if I did… shit, I have done three.”

Evidently, Momoa has one film left on his contract, but said he understood why the others may not want to return.
“I mean, Henry wants to just expand on something,” he said. “Ben is an amazing director that is of age, and probably he’s done enough. I don’t know how to speak on behalf of them, but I had the time of my life [on ‘Justice League’].”
Momoa recently spoke out and went to back for the embattled Zack Snyder cut (#ReleaseTheSnyderCut) version of “Justice League” (Snyder had to suddenly depart from the film seven months before release and the film was entrusted to “Avengers” helmer Joss Whedon to finish which upset many fans who believe they would prefer the Snyder version the film despite having not seen it.

Moma credits Snyder with making his career and casting him as “Aquaman.” “Really, like, I’m a soul mate with him. He’s family. I’m very indebted to that man. I invited him to my wedding. I told him to look around on my property and the things I barely held onto, because there were moments in my career where you can’t put food on the table. Not being picky and choosy, but it’s hard to make it in this business. I looked at him, and I said, ‘You see these things? These would’ve never, ever, ever have happened if it wasn’t for you.’ So Zack has a huge part of my heart.”
“Aquaman,” is in theaters Dec. 21 and is the first DC movie to not have any cameos from or connections to any of the characters of DC’s “Justice League”— not even a closing credit tag or mention of any of the other characters; you’d have look super closely to find a connection because there are none on the surface.
