Jean-Claude Van Damme & Dolph Lundgren Reteam For 'Black Water'

There is a certain audience who love the bruising brotherhood of Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren, and while I might not be among them, the duo seem to deliver what their fans want. The pair have starred together in three “Universal Soldier” movies along with a stint in “The Expendables 2,” and now they’ve found another explosive vehicle to work on.

THR reveals that Van Damme and Lundgren will bring the business in “Black Water.” Penned by Chad Law (“6 Bullets,” “The Hit List,” “Jarhead 3: The Siege“), the story will follow a deep cover operative who wakes up imprisoned on a submarine, that just happens to be a CIA black site. Okay, that’s a pretty hooky premise. Even more, Van Damme and Lundgren will apparently be buds in this one, instead of punching each other like they usually do.

No word yet on when filming will begin, but it can only happen after a director is found.
