Jesse Eisenberg & More Reportedly Confirmed As Cast Members For 'Justice League'

Last week, Warner Bros. unveiled a preview of their 2017 slate on their press site for journalists, and one particular nugget caught the eye of fanboys: the cast list for “Justice League.” However, in the days since, the studio has quietly scrubbed all information about the movie from the press site for now, except for the film’s logo. Hmmm. Did they reveal too much, too early or was some of it just plain wrong? Guess we’ll find out, but at any rate, nothing is ever disappeared off the internet forever and that cast list is still floating around.

As expected, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, and Ray Fisher are there, as is J.K. Simmons, but also listed was Jesse Eisenberg reprising his role from “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” and Connie Nielson, with the latter making her first appearance in the DC Film universe in “Wonder Woman” as the titular hero’s Mom. Hmm. Here’s the cast list (via JoBlo):

Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.

It’s worth noting that there are some key names curiously absent including: Ciarin Hinds as Steppenwolf, Amber Heard as Mera, and Kiersey Clemons as Iris West. However, as we know with blockbusters these days, everything is still in flux until the release date, and with nearly a full year to go before “Justice League” arrives, who knows what will change (and/or what Zack Snyder will use the inevitable pickups/reshoots to emphasize or tweak). And that might be why WB pulled down the cast list just as quickly as it went up.

“Justice League” opens on November 17, 2017.
