John Boyega is doing the rounds for “Detroit,” and during a stop on “Popcorn With Peter Travers,” he teased that Lucasfilm had found a satisfying way to say farewell to the iconic character.

“It sends her off in a very amazing way,” the actor said. “She is still kept alive in this franchise and that’s the beauty of it – she lives forever in a sense.”

I’ll let the “Star Wars” super nerds try and break down what that actually means, but it’s certainly nice to know some care and thought seems to have gone into how to handle this situation.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” opens on December 15th.
