Josh Duhamel Returns For 'Transformers: The Last Knight'

There are have been four increasingly unwatchable “Transformers” movies to date, and I can’t for the life of me remember what the plot of any of them are, except that robots show up, a lot of destruction ensues, humans run in all directions, and Michael Bay buys another yacht. All this to say, if there’s an overarching narrative we’re supposed to be keeping track of, I’m lost, and it also doesn’t really matter. However, it does matter to Akiva Goldsman and the writers Paramount have assembled to keep making a universe of these toy movies. And they all agree one key ingredient needs to return for the next entry.

Josh Duhamel — star of “Transformers,” “Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen,” and “Transformers: Dark Of The Moon” — will return for “Transformers: The Last Knight” (LOL) joining the returning Mark Wahlberg (“Transformers: Age Of Extinction“), Isabela Moner, and Jerrod Carmichael. Yep, so Major Lennox (I had to look that up, fyi) will have more wisdom to impart in the next collection of loud metallic noises, all while presumably tying this fifth installment to the first three, which is what Paramount is eager to do.

“Transformers: The Last Knight” (I can’t stop laughing at that title) opens on June 23, 2017. [Latino Review]
