“People keep asking if I’m back and I haven’t really had an answer. But now, yeah, I’m thinkin’ I’m back,” Keanu Reeves snarled in “John Wick,” before proceeding to kick some serious ass. Few could’ve predicted that what looked like a rote actoiner a couple years back, would’ve become a beloved genre gem, announcing co-directors Chad Stahelski and David Leitch as ones to watch, and confirming Reeves has plenty of blockbuster blood left in him. And now the sequel is coming, and it’s loaded with big expectations.

New and old faces including Common, Riccardo Scamarcio, Laurence Fishburne, Ruby Rose, Bridget Moynahan, Lance Reddick, Franco Nero, John Leguizamo, and Ian McShane, make up the cast this time around, as John Wick has a new dog, and a new adventure which sees him travel abroad. Here’s the official synopsis:
In this next chapter following the 2014 hit, legendary hitman John Wick [Keanu Reeves] is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.
