“Molly’s Game” tells the story of Molly Bloom, played by Chastain, a former Olympic athlete who turns to cocktail waitressing in Los Angeles. She then turns into an organizer of high stakes poker games involving A-list Hollywood stars. Dubbed “The Poker Princess,” Bloom eventually develops an unique relationship with one of the Hollywood elite known as Player X, played by Cera.

The film is based on Bloom’s memoir, with perhaps the longest title in the history of memoirs: “Molly’s Game: From Hollywoods’ Elite to Wall Street’s Billionaire Boys Club, My High-Stakes Adventure in the World of Underground Poker.” The adaptation is set to begin filming in November with Mark Gordon and Amy Pascal set to produce, and Idris Elba‘s also on board with what’s shaping up to a very, very promising cast.
