Michael Keaton Will Be In ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ After All, Villains Rumored

Michael Keaton has been sending Marvel fans on a bit of a roller coaster. First it was reported that he would be joining “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” then it was reported he wasn’t. But it seems Marvel has reached into the coffers to get the Oscar nominee into the film.

Variety reports that Keaton is now back in talks for ‘Spider-Man.’ So what was the hold up? Apparently, once Robert Downey Jr. signed on the dotted line to be in the movie, Marvel wasn’t sure if they could also afford Keaton. But I guess they went to the accounting department and figured how to work that out. There’s no official word yet on Keaton’s role, but for those who don’t mind some juicy gossip, keep reading.

**Spoilers ahead** According to JoBlo, Keaton will be playing The Vulture as expected, and not only that, he’ll be the main baddie. But even more, they add that The Tinkerer — sort of like a Q for Marvel villains — will also appear, and help The Vulture build his suit. And if that’s not enough, apparently Tony Stark will give Spidey some wings for his suit, which was a feature the character had in some of the older iterations of the comic. Of course, none of this is officially confirmed, and things change, but there you go. **Spoilers end**
