Netflix And Amazon Have Passed On 'Hannibal'

Has the blood been finally drained from “Hannibal“? The cult loved show has had a rough couple of weeks. NBC canceled the series, leading to a concerted effort on behalf of the show’s producers to try and find a home for the critically acclaimed program. Amazon was said to be taking a look, but things got knottier when leads Mads Mikkelsen and Hugh Dancy were released from their contracts, and it was revealed that “Hannibal” writer/creator was focusing his attention next on the Starz series “American Gods.” Now comes a painful blow.

Fuller has revealed on Twitter that both Amazon and Netflix have passed on “Hannibal.” And while there are plenty of other options out there, those streaming services are certainly the most prestigious, and their opting out makes one wonder what the hurdles might be to snapping up “Hannibal.” But Fuller is keeping a silver lining in place, adding that the show’s team is still “investigating possibilities,” so we’ll see.

Do you think “Hannibal” can be saved? In a time where “Full House” is being rebooted, surely, someone can step up to the plate for this show?
