Marketing a show that won’t be sending out any press screeners would be a challenge for some people, but not for the folks at HBO. The network knows everyone is going to watch “Game Of Thrones” anyway, so it’s really just a matter of deciding what to show before the premiere, and when. Well, the team at HBO have decided the first day of summer is perfect time to welcome winter.

The new trailer for “Game Of Thrones” season 7 has landed, and I’ll let those who have been watching the series (I know, I know, don’t @ me) unpack it all. On their part, HBO has been keeping a typically secretive lid on what’s coming, though a recent tagline — “The long night is coming, and the dead come with it” — perhaps offers a clue.
“Game Of Thrones” returns on July 16th.
