Now on the fifth film of a franchise I can’t imagine anybody thought would last this long when it first started, you might think that the creatives behind the scenes would be running out of ideas. You would be wrong. There will be ghost sharks in “Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” because hey, why the hell not? They’ve managed to toss pretty much everything else they possibly could’ve into the these things.

Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Geoffrey Rush, Kaya Scodelario and more join the fun this time around, with Jack Sparrow undoubtedly getting into more water-logged adventures. Oh, Jack! Frankly, I have no idea where the storyline or mythology is at this point in the series, but I’d also guess that knowing it probably doesn’t matter much. Let’s just hope the filmmakers Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg have cut back on the bloated running times of the previous films.

“Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” opens on May 26th.

4/18/17 Update: It’s basically the same trailer, but the international spot for ‘Pirates 5’ features glimpses of Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley, once rumored and no confirmed for an appearance in the movie.
