Halloween usually means that Hollywood is going to throw you a few different options at the multiplex to scare your pants off, and one of them will be the latest from Rob Zombie, who knows his way around gory setpieces. And this time, he’s taking you to the deadliest carnival ever in “31.”

Starring Sheri Moon Zombie, Malcom McDowell, Meg Foster, Elizabeth Daily, Sandra Rosko, and Richard Brake, the story places carnival workers inside an insidious, “Saw“-like game where they have to fight for their very lives. Here’s the official synopsis:
From the visionary mind of Rob Zombie comes the horrific story of five carnival workers who are kidnapped the night before Halloween and held hostage in a large compound. At the mercy of their captors, they are forced to play a twisted game or life or death called 31. For the next 12 hours they must fight for their lives against an endless parade of homicidal maniacs.
“31” opens on October 21st.
