New Trailer Takes You Inside 'Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children' From Director Tim Burton

Movie executives must be scratching their heads, trying to figure out what it is exactly the audiences want. With many sequels and original movies (like “The Nice Guys” and “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping“) underperforming this year, it’s anyone’s guess how Tim Burton‘s “Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children” will be received. But it certainly looks like it hits all the expected buttons moviegoers would want from a Burton picture.

Based on the bestseller by Ransom Riggs, and led by Eva Green, the story centers around the titular refuge for children with extraordinary gifts (shades of X-Men, perhaps?), that soon faces real danger, with one ordinary boy in the middle of it all. Here’s the official synopsis:

From visionary director Tim Burton, and based upon the best-selling novel, comes an unforgettable motion picture experience. When Jake discovers clues to a mystery that spans alternate realities and times, he uncovers a secret refuge known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As he learns about the residents and their unusual abilities, Jake realizes that safety is an illusion, and danger lurks in the form of powerful, hidden enemies. Jake must figure out who is real, who can be trusted, and who he really is.

Co-starring Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Rupert Everett, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson, “Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children” opens on September 30th.
