Noomi Rapace Hunts For A Terrorist In First Trailer For 'Unlocked'

Given the state of the world right now, and the rhetoric coming from a certain statesman, I’m not sure I’m in the mood for a B-movie thriller about terrorists. But if you’re feeling like you could use some imaginary geo-political intrigue rather than whatever is going on in reality, then “Unlocked” might fit the bill.

Certainly, the cast is pretty good with Noomi Rapace, Orlando Bloom, Michael Douglas, Toni Collette, and John Malkovich starring in the story that follows a CIA operative who gets compromised and has to fight to discover the truth. And behind the camera is veteran Michael Apted (“Gorillas In The Mist,” “Nell,” the “7 UP” documentary series). Here’s the synopsis:

Alice Racine, a female CIA interrogator with a troubled childhood but now settled in present day London, is working as an undercover agent. Alice becomes unwittingly involved in a devastating biological attack on London after being tricked into divulging critical information to a terrorist. A deadly game of cat and mouse ensues with Alice unsure whom she can trust in a desperate fight for survival.

“Unlocked” opens in the U.K. on May 5th, but it doesn’t look like there’s any U.S. distribution at the moment. [Empire]
