Oliver Stone Goes To Russia In Trailer & Clip From Documentary 'The Putin Interviews'

As the political conversation continues to swirl about Russia, their ties to the White House, and possible meddling in last year’s election, Oliver Stone‘s “The Putin Interviews” couldn’t be arriving at a more explosive time. Set to air on Showtime across four nights on June 12th, the filmmaker’s extensive conversation with the Russian leader will be highly scrutinized. And according to Stone, everyone should be paying closing attention to what Putin will have to say, particularly when it comes to accusations that Russia was involved in the election.

“He answered very clearly, and I asked him repeatedly as it has become a big issue in the West and I think he answered very brightly, intelligently. I can’t tell you what he said, watch it for your self and make your own judgment,” he told the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (via The Hill).

“What worries me is that we’re reaching a dangerous threshold — we’ve probably reached it already — where the Western media and Western politicians have insulted him repeatedly, have said it’s ‘Putin’s Russia,’ ” Stone added, saying he’s concerned about U.S./Russian relations.

We’ll see what new light is shed on Putin, but certainly, his answers about Edward Snowden and the NSA, as seen in the clip, are interesting. Check out the trailer and clip below.
