Sarah Paulson Joins The 'Ocean's Eight' Gang

Sarah Paulson is currently in the midst of one helluva streak. Last year she shined in a supporting role in Todd Haynes‘ “Carol,” and kicked off 2016 with an Emmy-nominated turn in “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.” From there, she’s reteamed with Ryan Murphy for his upcoming TV series “Feud,” where she’ll be playing Geraldine Page; and next month the actress will be at TIFF with the low-key indie “Blue Jay.” And after that, Paulson is joining one of the starriest female ensembles in recent memory.

Deadline reports that Paulson is in early talks to roll with the crew of “Ocean’s Eight,” which currently includes Sandra BullockCate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling, Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, and Awkwafina. The Gary Ross-directed, Steven Soderbergh-produced, female-led twist on “Ocean’s Eleven” will reportedly revolve around a heist at the Met Gala, though there are no other plot details at the moment. However, with production gearing up to start in October, I’d imagine more intel about the project will start surfacing soon.

There is certainly the biggest feather in Paulson’s cap so far, but something tells us we’re only at the start of what looks to be a real career explosion for the actress.
