Sharlto Copley, Gemma Arterton & Alec Baldwin In Negotiations For 'Men In Black 3'

Even though we have no interest at all in “Men In Black 3,” Sony is gonna do their damndest to put some enticing carrots for us to keep chasing.

Pajiba reports that Sharlto Copley, Gemma Arterton and Alec Baldwin are in negotiations to join the third installment of the franchise we’re suddenly supposed to care about again after ten years (it will be a decade since “Men In Black 2” when the film hits on May 25, 2012). According to the site, the trio are eyeing roles that will see them feature in the 1969 set portion of the film that will see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones travel back in time. Arterton would play a secretary in the 1969 version of MIB; Baldwin would play the 1969 MIB boss; and Copley would play a fast-talking Yoda type alien. And if that isn’t enough Nichole Sherzinger (Pussy Cat Dolls) is being offered a cameo as Jemaine Clement’s girlfriend! Talk about cultural relevance!

Emma Thompson, Josh Brolin and Rip Torn round out the cast of this film that makes us want to time travel back to the halycon days before this thing was greenlit. Filming begins later this month.
